Epstein-Barr Virus, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia

In his amazing book, Medical Medium, Anthony William discusses the true causes and secrets behind some of our most stubborn and elusive illnesses, such as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Multiple Sclerosis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and Thyroid problems. He points to the Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) and states it is very common, difficult to detect and the medical community does not understand the far reaching effects of this virus.

Most of us have been exposed to the Epstein-Barr virus some time in our lives and blood tests for the virus come back positive quite often. The medical doctors will see a positive blood test and assume that the patient had EBV sometime in the past and they are now recovered. However, this virus does not ever go away completely and can cause health problems many years in the future, especially triggered by a stressful event such as a divorce or childbirth.

There are four stages of EBV:

Stage 1 – Upon initial exposure, we have Stage 1 which normally lies dormant. The virus is vulnerable to treatment in this stage but no one knows they are sick, so treatment is not usually initiated.

Stage 2 is the most contagious stage and will be diagnosed as mononucleosis, or kissing disease. At this stage the virus will invade the organs, mostly the liver and spleen. It thrives on mercury, dioxins, and toxins and is usually associated with the streptococcus bacteria.

Stage 3 – The virus settles into the liver, spleen, and other organs such as the thyroid. It can’t be detected at the stage and lies dormant, but causes health problems all the while by producing and giving off poisons. The three poisons involved with the virus are a viral byproduct (which may lead to a false diagnosis of Lyme disease), the viral corpses which create fatigue, and neurotoxins.

Mr. William also states that EBV is the primary cause of hepatitis C and that Lupus is a reaction of the body to the EBV toxins. The liver can become sluggish with symptoms of low hydrochloric acid in the stomach, bloating and constipation.  Hypothyroidism, Hashimoto’s, Grave’s Disease and thyroid cancer may be from EBV.  When EBV invades the thyroid it puts a strain on the adrenals which causes them to produce more adrenaline. The EBV virus feeds on adrenaline, thus becoming even stronger.

Stage 4 – EBV will invade the central nervous system (CNS) in Stage 4 leading to Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Tinnitus, and Vertigo and Meniere’s Disease.

There are six types, or Groups, of EBV:

Group 1 – The mildest form, you may never have any symptoms.

Group 2 – Symptoms hit in the 50’s or 60’s with mild nerve inflammation.

Group 3 – Symptoms hit in the 40’s with progression into Stage 4. Symptoms include joint pain, fatigue, palpitations, tinnitus, and vertigo.

Group 4 – Hits in the 30’s and leads to fibromyalgis, chronic fatigue, brain fog, confusion, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder.

Group 5 – Appears in the 20’s and leads to the same symptoms as Group 4. This Group feeds on negative emotions such as fear and worry.

Group 6 – Children – causes leukemia, viral meningitis, lupus, rashes, weakness in limbs, and nerve pain.

According to Medical Medium, the best healing foods for EBV are wild blueberries, celery, sprouts, asparagus, spinach, cilantro, parsley, coconut oil, garlic, ginger, raspberries, lettuce, papayas, apricots, pomegranates, grapefruit, kale, sweet potatoes, cucumbers, and fennel.

Healing herbs and supplements incude Cat’s Claw, silver hydrosol, zinc, Vitamin B12, licorice root, lemon balm, 5-MTHF, selenium, red marine algae, L-lysine, spirulina, ester-C, nettle leaf, monolaurin, elderberry, red clover, star anise, and curcumin.
